Powering ON

Use the CR-492 remote to turn on the Monivision monitor. Turn on the JVC DVD/VCR unit, using the power button on the face of the unit.

Connecting Your Laptop (IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad). For other laptops please contact Media Services at av@carthage.edu or (262) 551-5950 a full working day in advance.

Step 1. Follow directions above to power on the system.

Step 2. Make sure your IBM Thinkpad is completely booted up.

Step 3. Plug in the VGA cable (and audio cable, if you have sound) to your laptop. Press “VGA2” button on CR-491 remote.

Step 4. Immediately press Fn and F7 on the IBM Thinkpad.

Using the VCR

Step 1. Follow the directions above to power on the system.

Step 2. Push “Video” button on the CR-491 remote.

Step 3. Insert VHS and play as usual.

Step 4. Volume is controlled on the CR-491 remote.

 

Using the DVD Player

Step 1. Follow directions above to power on the system.

Step 2. Push “S-VHS” button on the CR-491 remote.

Step 3. Insert DVD and play as usual.

Step 4. Volume is controlled on the CR-491 remote.

 

Powering OFF

Use the CR-492 remote to turn off the Monivision monitor. Turn off the JVC DVD/VCR unit, using the power button on the face of the unit.
