Wireless Setup Instructions for Commuters, Best Western Residents, and Other Visitors

Configuring Wireless Access for Carthage Commuters, Best Western Residents and Visitors while on Campus

Carthage community members who do not live on campus or other visitors to the College may follow the instructions below to configure their laptops to connect to Carthage’s wireless network.

Please note:

  • Carthage wireless access points do not broadcast their SSID (network name.)  You must know the SSID for the location in which you wish to connect.  SSIDs are included in the instructions below.
  • Check if your laptop has a physical wireless switch or a key combination such as Fn-F5 to enable/disable wireless!  If the switch is off or the radio is otherwise disabled, you will not be able to connect, even if you follow the instructions below.
