Troubleshooting Registration Issues
If the Adult Education staff cannot register a student, then check:
1. Academic Status – If the academic status is one of the following then contact the Registrar’s Office: Deceased, Academic Dismissal, Disciplinary Dismissal, Show Cause, Withdrawal, Admin Withdrawal, or Unofficial Withdrawal.
The Registrar’s Office needs to:
* change the academic status
* change the academic status date
* remove the leave date
* remove the leave reason
* make sure the registration group number is 700
2. SubProgram - If it is ‘Traditional Undergrad’ then they need to contact the Registrar’s Office to get the subprogram changed.
3. Program – Make sure the correct program is in the drop down before clicking on ‘Add/Drop Courses’.
After the user clicks on the “Add/Drop Courses” they should verify the Term and Program are correct.
Then the user should verify that the comment under the term is not:
Fix: The student needs ‘700’ entered as their registration group on page two of the program enrollment record.
Fix: The student’s academic status field needs to be changes or the user may have the wrong program listed.
Fix: The student does not have a registration clearance record. The ‘Add Reg Clear Records’ process on the Adult Ed Admissions: Admissions Processing Menu’ needs to be run for the given term and subprogram.
If the user gets the message ‘There was no Data for the specified Criteria’ and the student was just admitted then there is a good chance the ‘Create Prog Enr-Stdnt’ process needs to be run for the new student. The process is on the ‘Adult Ed Admissions: Admissions Processing Menu’.
