Creating your student account

Creating an account:

1.       Browse out to www.turnitin.com

2.       Click on create an account if you have never registered before.  It is on the top right under the email login.

3.       Under create new account, click on student

4.       You will be directed to enter a class ID and class password.  You will get this from your professor.

5.       Enter in the appropriate user information; make sure to use your Carthage email address.

 

 

Already have an account but need to join a class?

1.       Browse out to www.turnitin.com

2.       Login with your Carthage email address and the password that you created for this account.

3.       Click on the enroll in a class tab at the top of the page.

4.       You will be directed to enter a class ID and class password.  You will get this from your professor.

 

Uploading your paper to turnitin

1.       Once you login you will see a list of your classes that use turnitin.

2.       Click on the link to  enter your class

3.       Find the assignment that you need to turn in and click on submit on the right-hand side.

4.       You can either submit by attaching your document or by cutting and pasting your document.

5.       You will receive a digital receipt acknowledge your submission.
