To access NetStorage

1. Launch a browser and point it to netstorage.carthage.edu/NetStorage

It must be capitalized EXACTLY as shown above.

2. When the login box appears, enter your fully qualified Novell login, which includes your user group and .carthage.For example, all faculty are .username.faculty.carthage; all staff are .username.staff.carthage, and all students are .username.students.carthage.Be careful to include the period before your user name; there are three periods in all.Your user name is your Novell login, which should be the same as your e-mail login.Enter your Novell password.Click OK.
3. You should see the list of drives you have access to at the left of the screen.Double-click the drive you want to use; this will display the folders and/or files at the right.

To open a specific file

1. Double-click the folder you want to open, if the file you want to access is in a folder.
2. To open and use a file, double-click on its file name.Your browser may try to prevent the download for safety; look at the status bar at the top and click "Download file" if necessary.You may be prompted to login again to access the file; do so as needed.
3. The file should open in its application.You may modify it, print it, or whatever.When finished, you will need to save it to a local drive on the computer and re-upload it to your Novell drive as shown below

To upload a file

1. Click the File menu (the underlined link above the list of files and folders)
2. Click Upload.A pop-up window will open
3. Click the Browse button and navigate to specify the file to be uploaded.
4. Click the Upload button
