Connecting at Carthage

All these steps must be taken in order to get a working connection at Carthage.

I. Uninstall any antivirus programs you currently have
 i.    Windows > Use Control Panel to uninstall programs

II. Install copy of Symantec AntiVirus from CD
 Free copy available at MyCarthage Resource Center in Hedberg Library!
 i.    Accept the defaults and keep going

III. Wireless setup
 i.    VISTA – go to the article "Configuring Wireless for Use at Carthage - Windows"
 ii.    XP or other – go to the article "Configuring Wireless for Use at Carthage - Windows"
 iii.    Mac – go to the article "Configuring Wireless for Use at Carthage - Mac"

IV. Wired setup (sharing a hub/switch)
 i.    Use the green instruction sheet

V. NetReg – Open a web browser to start
 i.    Click on ‘NetReg Agent’ to run it
 ii.    Update antivirus definitions as needed (then, repeat step ‘i’)
 iii.    When asked to register, use your Novell username and password
   - To reset Novell password, click on left-hand link on page

VI. Done!
